Happy Halloween!

Drake reluctantly wore this costume for Halloween. It was one of those situations that I had to brive him.   I hope he appreciates this later.

Art for Sale

Drake is determined to get a parrot. Instead of asking for money from Todd or I he had created art to sell. The dinosaur and the panther are $25.00 each. I was just told the dinosaur is sold to Grandma Schwartz. The dragon is $3337.00. Please respond if you are interesting in purchasing the art.

First Day of First Grade

Drake went for the beach look. His inspiration was our Hawaiian trip last July.
First grade has been different for Drake. He is still adjusting. He had three good days last week. Hopefully, he is settling in.

My Little Overachiever

Drake picked this pose to depict his joy over being awarded Student of the Week. Watch out Justin Timberlake.

Today was a special day for the Schwartz Family. Drake met his reading goal and received his T-shirt at Rise and Shine this morning. He has informed me that he does not have to read anymore. I decided not to enter into this battle. Let him believe that for now.

A little while later he was awarded as the Student of the Week. I was thrilled until Todd, my very sensitive husband said "It is like Dale Carnegie...everyone gets a chance to win." I am still thrilled. He can't rain on my parade.

Working It

There is no denying it. Fashion is in his blood. It is unfair that it comes to him at an early age. I have to work hard every day to achieve mediocrity.

Drake's 2nd Date

Today Drake disappeared into his bedroom. I heard the closet doors banging and I am thinking what is going on. Drake yells "just a minute", to my question "Are you alright?". He emerges in Jeans, Snoopy Halloween Socks and a shirt in his hands. "Mom", he says. "I need to look good for Charli". "I need to put this on". I proceed to help him.

A few minutes later, he comes back to ask "Do I look fat in this?" Is this really happening I think to myself. I curse society. Even an Apergerish boy is effected by what society dictates. I respond to him, "No, you look great...you are not fat". He goes on to play and I am left wondering.
